On your way to the Australian outback? Well the Port Side Tavern Port Pirie is out front with their new Quest PA
Here is a story from the sound system installer Alan Phillips from Augusta productions:
The installation that we commissioned for the Portside Tavern has been a huge success. The footprint from the configuration of HPI-218's & QM700's is massive. The venue is now looking at extending the range of live music acts because they now have a PA system that can reproduce the bigger bands at a high standard. He also said the venue management had something to say about the new PA. The venue managers & owner are absolutely ecstatic with the outcome, it has allowed them to bring in some fairly decent headlining Australian acts & DJ's.
A simple hang does the job
The venue will no longer need to keep hiring in PA systems for the bigger shows and this is a great saving in time and resources. The tavern has also commenced negotiations with bands like Super Jesus, Eskimo Joe, and the Baby Animals (venue currently negotiating with agents). Heres the system as it stands now: QM700 (x5) QM12-DC foldback monitors (x4) QA3004 (x3) amplifiers and the system is controlled by one Xilica XP2040 system controller. Alans company Augusta productions owns quite an inventory of Quest products and provides all the local venues with extra equipment when the production needs arise.
