Fancy some Mesoamerican with the lot, in Melbourne Australia? Then head for floor # 6 at Curtin House for a venue that's a great bar serving great food. Mesa Verde offers Mexican-inspired food with a list of 240 tequilas, and cocktails.
So where is the audio coming from Maybe the HPI25 speakers above the bar
The Long bar
The interior fitout is inspired by the 1971 Sergio Leone western Duck, You Sucker! (aka A Fistful of Dynamite). The style is noticeably spaghetti western complimented by a lot of Tasmanian Blackwood furnishings. The last thing a venue architect wants when designing such a custom venue like this is to have a sound designer arrive with a quantity of non theme sound and lighting. A bit like the close up of Clint Eastwood in a Few Dollars More wearing a digital watch.

Enter the Quest HPI5 super compact speaker series. Here is the miniature high powered hi-fi nightclub system for when you dont want to see a speaker box. Installed around the venue in multiple zones, the HPI 5 speakers literally cocoon the patrons in sound. The sonic fidelity and high power of the HPI5 system creates a warm atmosphere and the zone control allows for areas of the venue to be high SPL when required.
Due to some restrictions on speaker placement to satisfy architectural considerations, three extra HPI25 speakers are positioned over the bar, and by reflecting off a parallel wall, create the impression of a much larger system with no speakers in sight.
Sub bass is the HPI212S and single 12S and their small visual footprint made them easy to hide.

All in all, an impressive venue complimented by the right audio system and competent installation.
