AMPA
Venue Overview
Located within Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on the banks of the Birrarung (Yarra River), the Australian Museum of Performing Arts (AMPA) is a new exhibition space centred around Australia’s rich theatrical legacy.
Audio System Objectives
Collaborating with Arts Centre Melbourne as a Technology Sponsor for the opening night of AMPA’s inaugural exhibition DIVA, Quest supplied additional PA equipment for a temporary stage. This stage was used for speeches and musical performances by special guests, including Victorian government representatives and leading Australian artists.
System Architecture
The system uses an NST Audio VMX88 Matrix System Processor for zone management and processing. VR2 Wall Panel Touch Controls provide pre-set recall, input selection, and volume/mute controls, with dual-tier password protection.
Amplification – Site Wide
Amplification is provided by Quest QX series amplifiers:
- Quest QXD-10k
- Quest QXD-5k
- Quest QX4750
- Quest QX41500
